Texas Business Conferences
The employer commissioner's office sponsors the Texas Business
Conferences, a series of employer seminars around the state. Employers are encouraged to attend at least one
of the seminars in order to learn nuts and bolts information on state and federal employment laws and how to

9th Annual Purchasing and HUB Connection Forum, February 9, 2009
The Texas Workforce Commission and the Teacher Retirement System of Texas are having our annual economic
opportunity forum on February 9, 2009, 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Texas Workforce Commission, 1117 Trinity St.,
Room 304T A & B, Austin, Texas 78701. The goal of the forum is to provide businesses information about each
agency’s purchasing needs and improve their contracting chances. Other state agencies and universities will also
be present.
